The park contains a range of largely undisturbed natural environments. There are panoramic views of surrounding mountains and valleys from the summit of Mount Lawson and spectacular displays of wildflowers in spring.
Enjoy horse riding, scenic drives, 4WDing, gravel riding, a spot of fishing or a bushwalk. Visit the historic trestle bridge off Firebrace Track which was once part of the Cudgewa Railway line.
Key features of Mount Lawson State Park from the south include Conic Range Walking Track, views over the Australian Alps and Lake Hume; Mount Lawson Summit and Summit Loop Nature Trail; Koetong Creek Gorge Walking Track leading to The Spa.
From the northern access to the park you will find Valley Views lookout from The Kurrajong campground and picnic area, and Flaggy Creek Gorge Walking Track for the adventures (14 km return).
Before you go, be aware conditions can change in parks for many reasons. For the latest information on changes to local conditions, please visit the relevant park page on the Parks Victoria website. Seasonal road closures apply.
